The Wixárika (Huichol) are an indigenous group known for, amongst many incredible things, their beautiful, brightly embroidered textiles.
Prominent symbols they traditionally use in their art are various types of motifs from nature such as coyotes, butterflies, rabbits, birds and the sacred deer along with plants such as corn and the peyote cactus and the stars.
This pillow is sold WITH the insert. We have carefully constructed each pillow with beautiful french seams on the interior, so they will last a thousand years and a minimal envelope style closure at the back of the pillow along with a contrasting fabric.
This pillow was made by a community in Nayarit Mexico called Portrero del Palmita and is one of a kind.
