ice cream with pineapple pepper sauce
An unexpected topping on a classic dessert.
Ingredients (Serves 8)
- 1⁄2 pineapple, cut into small pieces (about 2 cups)
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 2 quarts of coconut ice cream
- Place all ingredients in a pan over high heat. When mixture comes to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes.
- Serve warm over coconut ice cream.
