frenched green beans
A classic side dish sure to enliven any seasonal spread.
Ingredients (Serves 10)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- green beans (about 10 per person), stemmed and cut in half lengthwise and widthwise
- salt and pepper
- Heat olive oil and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 1 minute.
- When the pan is hot, toss in the green beans and shake the pan over the heat so they do not cook too much; you want them crispy but lightly cooked, about 1 minute.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve.
