|When it comes to a girl's room, pink and lavender seem to be the only options. As for yellow, that was always the play-it-safe gender-neutral go-to. Until now. Lean on the bright tropical hue and then sprinkle in some black for a hint of maturity. The trick to mastering this trio is focusing on textures. The cotton-damask Scalamandré fabric on custom headboards is the starting point for the black, white, and yellow formula. Lots of flounce tempers the glare and injects a little froufrou: The coverlets are embroidered in white eyelet, and the cotton-piqué curtains feature two trims (observe closely—the yellow ruffle is edged with polkadot detail).
