About the Artist:
Emine Ortega is a NYC Textile/Surface Pattern Designer born and raised in the Big Apple. Her education in textile design began at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC, where she earned her degree. Emine was further classically trained in hand-painted textile design in Rome, Italy where she spent two years working, and learning the art form. Her patterns are an expression of her love of life and "color". Emine is inspired by the beauty of natural, organic shapes and in particular, by the beauty of flowers. Her designs usually begin as original drawings or paintings that are then digitally enhanced.
